Welcome to mtoc explorer
mtoc explorer is a community resource dedicated to study the evolution of Microtubule Organizing Centers (MTOCs) and MTOC derived organelles. This includes cilia/flagella, centrioles, centrosomes, spindle pole bodies, nucleus associated bodies, and other non-standard MTOC's from all major eukaryotic lineages.
Currently the collection consists of over 400 electron microscopy images annotated using an ontology developed to capture the observed diversity.

mtoc explorer is a community effort, and we could never have been able to create such a comprehensive collection without our annotators, to whom we are incredibly gratefull for all of their time and effort. Thank you!
